FLAG OF BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA COLOUR-BENDERA BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA. Flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Zastava Bosne i Hercegovine. The current national flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted on February 4, 1998 to replace another flag that was used since independence. The flag has a blue vertical stripe on the side of the stopper with an isosceles triangle bounded by this list and the top of the flag. The rest of the flag is blue with seven full stars, white five-pointed star and two half on top and bottom, arranged along the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Originally the flag was clear blue, the shade of blue of the United Nations, but was changed to a darker shade to match the European flag. The three points of the triangle symbolize the three-nation theory of Bosnia (Croats, Serbs and Bosniaks). The stars, representing Europe, are supposed to have an infinite number and thus extend beyond the flag.

The current flag, based on the first drawing of Carlos Westendorp, was adopted on February 2, 1998.'s Drawing would be elected by the High Commissioner of the United Nations, unless the Bosnian parliament able to find a solution acceptable to all parties. This flag was selected because it contains no historical or other reference to the Bosnian state. The color would be replaced by a darker blue, resembling the flag of the European Union. Finally, the flag would be officially presented during the Opening Ceremony of the Nagano Games.

Bendera nasional negara Bosnia dan Herzegovina diadopsi pada tanggal 4 Februari 1998 menggantikan bendera lain yang digunakan sejak kemerdekaan. Bendera Bosnia and Herzegovina memiliki garis vertikal biru di sisi pinggir dengan sebuah segitiga sama kaki. Sisanya bendera berwarna biru dengan tujuh bintang penuh, putih bintang berujung lima dan dua setengah di atas dan bawah, diatur sepanjang sisi miring segitiga. Awalnya bendera adalah biru jernih, warna biru PBB, tetapi diubah menjadi warna yang lebih gelap untuk mencocokkan bendera Eropa.

Bendera ini dipilih karena tidak mengandung sejarah atau lainnya mengacu pada negara Bosnia. Kemudian warnanya diganti dengan biru gelap, menyerupai bendera Uni Eropa.
